This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Oversee multiple significant accounts within the US Department of Defense.
• Comprehend customer IT and business goals, priorities, requirements, and challenges, and execute HPE’s strategy accordingly.
• Enhance business performance across various HPE business units and maximize account profitability.
• Generate pipeline, assist in closing deals, and coordinate deal teams effectively.
• Foster relationships with IT and business influencers, including C-level executives at customer organizations.
• Develop and manage the extended partner ecosystem.
• Stay updated on the current IT industry and technological advancements to effectively position HPE’s offerings.
• Lead and provide guidance to extended account team members.
• Serve as the customer’s advocate within HPE.
• Strategically plan accounts to deliver results throughout and beyond the financial year.
• Create and implement comprehensive account business plans.
• Direct complex, cross-business-unit sales initiatives and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Identify and cultivate significant short-, mid-, and long-term opportunities.
• Oversee deal governance, ownership, pricing, resources, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in an enterprise setting.
• At least 3 years of proven sales experience in acquiring net-new business and identifying white space opportunities.
• A background of 5 years in military service with the US Department of Defense/Department of War or relevant sales experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in big data, hybrid IT, IT services, digital business, information security, AI, and intelligent edge is preferred.
• A demonstrated track record of managing and surpassing sales targets.
• Capability to manage existing accounts while simultaneously developing new business.
• Experience within the IT industry is essential.
• Background as an IT leader, within an IT department, or direct customer interaction is advantageous.
• An active government security clearance is preferred; eligibility for security clearance is required if not currently held.
• Familiarity with federal funding and contracting procedures is essential.
• A university or bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience is acceptable.
• An educational background in engineering or technology, advanced degrees, or an MBA is desired.
• Strong skills in strategic planning, sales execution, IT industry knowledge, HPE portfolio expertise, team leadership, relationship-building, communication, influencing, negotiation, business acumen, operational excellence, and integrity.
• Proficient in leading dispersed and indirect team members within a complex matrix organization.
• Knowledge of customer industry landscapes, enterprise architecture, and partner and influencer ecosystems is preferred.
