This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create and execute comprehensive sales strategies aimed at expanding and managing a business portfolio to drive profitable growth.

• Take ownership of an assigned territory, focusing on business development and utilizing performance metrics to formulate annual plans and oversee territorial performance.

• Conduct thorough agency diagnostics to evaluate performance and pinpoint growth opportunities.

• Facilitate agency appointments and nurture long-term relationships through both in-person and virtual office visits.

• Identify, onboard, and establish performance goals for new agencies, while providing necessary training and support.

• May pre-qualify accounts as required.

• Persuade agency partners through strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Collaborate with internal teams, such as Product and Underwriting, to ensure that sales strategies align with business objectives.

• Grasp Travelers Enterprise focus and capitalize on opportunities to cross-sell Travelers products by engaging with business partners in other lines.

• May identify opportunities for book transfers.

• Acquire knowledge of competitor products, capabilities, and local market trends.

• Utilize advanced data analytics for sales decision-making and performance measurement, leveraging extensive familiarity with Travelers' systems and platforms to aid the sales process.

• Harness AI technologies to optimize industry processes, enhance decision-making, and foster innovation, while continually learning and adapting to new AI trends and tools.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field.

• A minimum of four years of experience in insurance sales or a related field, managing a book of business, driving substantial sales growth, meeting sales targets, conducting agency diagnostics, and utilizing digital sales tools.

• Certification as an Insurance Counselor (CIC) or a willingness to pursue this certification.

• Strong understanding of Travelers products and the general Property & Casualty marketplace.

• Excellent influencing and negotiation skills to motivate agency partners to adopt Travelers' products and services.

• Proven ability to collaboratively build and sustain relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders, both internally and externally.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to set goals and priorities, meeting these objectives in a timely fashion.

• Exceptional organizational skills to effectively manage complex tasks and priorities to achieve sales goals and deadlines.
