This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Create and implement a territory business plan aimed at achieving or surpassing sales goals.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and various mental health professionals.
• Provide compelling clinical presentations and educational initiatives to promote GeneSight usage and enhance customer engagement.
• Discover new business prospects while expanding and supporting existing accounts through consultative, value-oriented selling techniques.
• Participate in local and regional trade shows, conferences, and networking functions.
• Work collaboratively across departments with internal teams, including Medical Affairs, Marketing, Customer Support, and Operations.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation of sales activities and customer engagements in CRM systems.
• Keep abreast of advancements in pharmacogenomics, mental health treatment trends, industry changes, and the competitive landscape.
• A Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field is preferred; an advanced degree is an advantage.
• Over 2 years of successful experience in healthcare sales is preferred, particularly in molecular diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, nursing homes, or similar healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of the healthcare landscape, especially in mental health, psychiatry, or primary care environments.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Self-driven with the capability to operate independently in a field-based setting.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, patient privacy regulations, and healthcare compliance standards.
• Proven professionalism, integrity, and alignment with Myriad’s mission and values.
• Ability to handle sensitive patient and provider information with discretion.
• Experience in selling genetic, molecular diagnostic, or precision medicine products is preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacogenomics or psychiatric treatment pathways is preferred.
• Established connections with mental health providers in the Birmingham market are preferred.
