• Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with marinas, yacht clubs, boatyards, and waterfront venues throughout North America.
• Manage the complete sales process from initial outreach and discovery to product demonstration, proposal creation, negotiation, and closing deals.
• Execute engaging on-site and virtual product demonstrations customized to meet each prospect’s operational requirements.
• Develop and sustain a strong, self-generated pipeline, augmented by leads sourced from the BDR team and marketing-qualified opportunities.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of Dockmaster’s product offerings and effectively communicate the ROI and business value to marina decision-makers.
• Travel roughly 50% of the time for prospect meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and regional marina events.
• Work closely with the BDR team, Professional Services, and Customer Success to ensure seamless transitions and outstanding customer onboarding.
• Keep precise records of pipeline data, forecasts, and activity reports.
• Offer market insights and competitive feedback to the product and marketing teams.
• Consistently achieve or surpass quarterly and annual revenue objectives.
• Over 5 years of B2B sales experience in a hunter/new business development capacity, with a demonstrated history of exceeding quotas.
• More than 3 years of sales experience, preferably in hospitality sales within the marine industry.
• Familiarity with SaaS or hospitality software solutions is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage a complete sales cycle, from cold outreach to contract negotiation and closure.
• Strong consultative selling abilities — you identify issues before recommending solutions.
• Experience in selling software or technology solutions, with a preference for SaaS.
• Willingness to travel over 50% of the time, including overnight stays and weekend trade shows as necessary.
• Exceptional presentation and demonstration skills, both in-person and online.
• Proficient in using CRM tools and contemporary sales engagement platforms.
• Self-motivated mindset — you create your own pipeline and do not wait for leads to come to you.
• Strong business acumen and capability to engage with owner-operators and C-level stakeholders.
