This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Achieves annual new revenue targets by engaging in consultative sales with new clients and expanding service offerings to existing clients.
• Demonstrates thought leadership and industry involvement through memberships in associations, participation in speaking panels, and showcases expertise within selected industry verticals.
• Creates an annual individual sales plan (ISP) with a pipeline coverage ratio of 5X or in accordance with the current company metrics to ensure consistent attainment of goals.
• Establishes a robust pipeline of qualified prospects by generating leads through personal networks, client referrals, prospect pursuit campaigns (PPCs), and collaboration with Relation colleagues and marketing sources.
• Records new business activities in Relation’s sales tracking system.
• Effectively closes new business opportunities, documenting won/loss scenarios and the reasoning behind decisions for all clients in Relation’s sales tracking system.
• Develops and delivers recommendations to clients using a consultative selling method.
• Evaluates and identifies risk issues, client needs, and potential challenges related to uninsurable or hard-to-insure exposures.
• Advises and supports clients with technical services, including loss control and claims advocacy programs, leveraging our in-house teams.
• Ensures a smooth transition for sold clients to the designated client service/account management team.
• Acts as a trusted advisor for clients, fostering a strategic and personal relationship with key decision-makers.
• Provides market insights, competitor analysis, and other business intelligence to leadership based on field observations.
• Utilizes innovative technology, including proprietary AI solutions, throughout the sales process to enhance engagement, facilitate informed decisions, and deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Undertakes additional projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of sales experience in the insurance sector is preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in selling or servicing entertainment lines—such as production insurance, completion guarantees and bonds, or errors and omissions (E&O).
• Established relationships within the film, television, theater, or production finance sectors are highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated sales experience in the insurance industry.
• Strong negotiation skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively with diverse personalities to close sales.
• Comprehensive understanding of insurance markets, products, and their applications, along with familiarity with insurance rating and underwriting processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for explaining complex coverages, interpreting information, and responding appropriately.
• Must possess a thorough understanding of complex commercial lines coverage and industry operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Computer literate with the ability to adapt to new software applications.
• Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
