This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Analyze customer RFQs, technical drawings, and BOMs.
• Determine appropriate suppliers based on their manufacturing processes, capabilities, and capacities.
• Engage directly with manufacturers across various sectors (CNC, sheet metal, fabrication, casting, molding, etc.).
• Evaluate supplier strengths, quality standards, lead times, and pricing structures.
• Assist in the onboarding and vetting of new manufacturing partners.
• Contribute to the execution of Trustbridge’s manufacturing growth strategy in India and Southeast Asia.
• Map out regional manufacturing capabilities and cost frameworks.
• Establish long-term supplier relationships through ongoing communication.
• Identify real-world challenges in RFQ review, quoting, and supplier coordination.
• Provide structured feedback to product and design teams.
• Aid in the setup of operational tools (CRM entries, RFQ tracking, supplier databases).
• Serve as a coordination point between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Communicate effectively with global stakeholders via calls and emails.
• Support supplier outreach and partnership initiatives.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering (graduate, final-year student, or recent graduate) is required.
• A solid understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, fabrication, casting, etc.) is essential.
• Comfortable with reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Strong verbal and written English skills, as supplier and internal calls are a significant aspect of the role.
• A willingness to take initiative and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
• Preferred / Bonus: MBA student or recent MBA graduate.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, or B2B sales is beneficial.
• Experience interacting with vendors, factories, or machine shops is advantageous.
• Interest in startups, marketplaces, and cross-border manufacturing is a plus.
• Work on actual customer RFQs, rather than simulations or case studies.
• Learn directly from seasoned founders and operators.
• Gain exposure to global manufacturing sourcing and supplier strategies.
• Play a significant role in establishing Trustbridge’s long-term presence in Asia.
• Strong performance may lead to a full-time or extended position.
