This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Engages customers at various levels, including procurement, technical, mid-level executives, and senior executives.
• Possesses the ability to connect and establish rapport with individuals across different functions and management levels.
• Develops strategies for the Area of Responsibility.
• Pursues partnerships that will foster growth.
• Brings applications to market by ensuring that product offerings align with customer and market technical and commercial requirements while also being commercially appealing for TPM.
• Provides Voice of Customer insights regarding product, market, application, and commercial needs to internal stakeholders to promote continuous improvement in our performance and offerings.
• Supports industry events in collaboration with the Market Manager and Business Leader.
• Develops and manages a strong opportunity pipeline that is accurately reflected in Salesforce.
• Conducts customer visits, calls, and communications with Call Reports sent to stakeholders.
• Maintains comprehensive records of Account and customer details in Salesforce.
• Initiates and manages Work Orders to Tech Service.
• Manages projects related to key technical or commercial initiatives.
• Ensures financial considerations, such as customer setup and adherence to terms, are met.
• Collaborates on forecasting with the SIOP lead.
• Drives new customer acquisition.
• Promotes new business opportunities with existing customers.
• Oversees some customer management responsibilities (Accounts/Territories assigned).
• Identifies top strategic customers and leads the team in developing strategies to increase market share and grow business.
• Organizes customer events and entertainment.
• Manages and documents complaints and returns.
• Collaborates with technical, SC, CS, manufacturing, HR, Finance, and LT to ensure Techmer PM delivers best-in-class service, quality, technology, and financial performance.
• Identifies key customers and resources necessary for technical visits and prioritization of customer service.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the plastics industry (processing, compounds, distribution).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Chemistry.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Proven sales skills with year-over-year growth.
• Effective account management abilities.
• Established business development skill set.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
