This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the technical victory throughout the sales process.
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Account Executive as the technical lead on enterprise opportunities within process-intensive industries.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions with process engineers, cost estimators, and capital project leaders.
• Create and present customized demonstrations based on the customers' processes, feedstock, and cost assumptions.
• Define, implement, and showcase proofs of concept aligned with customer models, spreadsheets, or previous EPC deliverables.
• Act as the technical expert on Roebling's deterministic process modeling, validation, and boundaries.
• Manage technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, security and validation questionnaires, as well as procurement-related technical due diligence.
• Convert field patterns into structured product input, competitive analyses, and customer deliverable specifications.
• Develop reusable demo environments, POC templates, technical FAQs, competitive breakdowns, and strategies for handling objections.
• Assist in the transition to delivery and customer success after closing deals.
• Report directly to the Chief Business Officer and collaborate closely with the Enterprise Account Executive and engineering team.
• Over 6 years of experience in process, capital projects, or techno-economic engineering.
• Direct, hands-on experience with scoping, estimating, or executing industrial capital projects.
• A strong preference for candidates with a background in EPC, owner's engineer, or engineering consultancy.
• Proficiency in FEL/stage-gate progression, basis of design, AACE cost estimate classifications, contingency and risk methodologies, and FID requirements.
• Familiarity with process simulation and modeling tools such as Aspen Plus/HYSYS, SuperPro, or AVEVA PRO/II, along with related estimating workflows.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Process, or a related engineering field.
• Capability to engage in peer-level technical discussions with senior engineers while articulating clear non-technical business cases to executives.
• Outstanding presentation and written communication abilities.
• Comfort with operating in environments without a predefined playbook.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25–40% of the time.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Preferred: Experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or in technical pre-sales at a software company.
• Preferred: Experience in industrial software sales or implementation.
• Preferred: Familiarity with AI/LLM tooling.
• Preferred: Depth of knowledge in biomanufacturing, critical minerals, specialty chemicals, or energy sectors.
• Preferred: Experience in government-facing roles.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Python or SQL for POC data preparation and analysis.
