This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead comprehensive, problem-oriented discovery sessions with enterprise clients, identifying genuine operational challenges across multi-location brands and crafting clear problem statements to assess fit prior to demo creation.
• Create and present customized narratives and demonstrations focused on customer outcomes instead of feature showcases, guiding the technical evaluation towards a decisive conclusion.
• Define and maintain alignment on the technical decision-making criteria and exit criteria that will be used to evaluate the deal, ensuring no unexpected issues arise later in the process.
• Proactively identify integration, security, and operational risks, addressing them before closing the deal to prevent them from emerging during implementation.
• Safeguard the integrity of each deal by ensuring that commitments made align with deliverable capabilities, in close collaboration with Product and Implementation teams.
• Ensure a smooth transition for closed accounts, providing full context and transparent risk documentation, while remaining engaged through the kickoff phase to maintain momentum.
• 3–5 years of experience in a Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer capacity, ideally within the restaurant, hospitality, or retail technology sectors.
• Relevant professional technical experience or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and connecting platforms within a wider technology ecosystem; previous experience supporting RFPs, security assessments, or formal procurement processes is a significant advantage.
• Practical experience with POS systems, restaurant technology, or similar software is highly sought after.
• A proven inclination towards early, in-depth discovery and the capability to construct demos that convey an outcome-driven narrative for both technical and executive audiences.
• Established ability to comprehend customer requirements, articulate complex technical concepts in simple terms, and present effectively to a multi-stakeholder buying committee.
• Strong analytical abilities, the capacity to quickly grasp technical environments and provide recommendations, along with a proactive approach.
• Capability to work collaboratively across sales, product, implementation, and customer success teams, including the discernment to offer constructive feedback that leads to improved outcomes.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time, as required, to engage with clients or participate in industry events.
