πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Take ownership of technical integrations from start to finish with publisher partners, SSPs, GAM, DSPs, and platform technology partners β€” encompassing discovery, scoping, implementation, and quality assurance.

β€’ Facilitate technical working sessions with partner ad operations teams, solutions architects, and engineers to grasp their infrastructure, tag architectures, and inventory configurations, and subsequently design integration methods that align with their systems.

β€’ Act as the main technical liaison during and post-integration β€” addressing issues, coordinating with Gist's Ads Engineering team, and driving solutions.

β€’ Manage implementation support for Gist's ad unit formats β€” AI-contextual formats β€” across web, mobile applications, and evolving AI environments.

β€’ Assess new technology partnership opportunities: evaluating API compatibility, data flow needs, and integration complexity to guide business development deal structuring.

β€’ Collaborate closely with the business development team on publisher, GAM, SSP/DSP, and platform partnership initiatives β€” offering technical scoping, feasibility assessments, and integration planning to facilitate deal structuring and closure.

β€’ Convert Gist's ad product capabilities into clear, technically credible narratives for partner engineering and ad ops teams.

β€’ Create and maintain integration documentation, tag specifications, API guides, and technical FAQs that streamline partner onboarding.

β€’ Represent Gist at industry events and partner meetings where technical expertise and hands-on credibility are essential.

β€’ Serve as the primary feedback conduit between live partner integrations and the Ads Engineering and Product teams β€” highlighting implementation challenges, partner requests, and ecosystem trends that should influence the roadmap.

β€’ Collaborate with Engineering during the development of new ad units to ensure that partner feasibility and real-world integration limitations are integrated into the specifications from the outset.

β€’ Contribute to defining and evolving Gist's technical integration standards, tag specifications, and API documentation as the product and partner ecosystem expands.

β€’ Occasionally assist the Sales team with technical pre-sales tasks β€” RFP responses, solution design, proof-of-concept scoping β€” although this is not the primary focus of the role.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ 5–9 years of experience in AdTech, programmatic advertising, or digital media with substantial technical expertise β€” ideally in roles such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Ad Operations, or Technical Account Management.

β€’ Proficient understanding of the programmatic ecosystem: OpenRTB, header bidding (Prebid.js), SSP/DSP integrations, ad serving (GAM/DFP), tag management, and bid stream mechanics.

β€’ Experience across the supply chain β€” including publisher-side ad operations, SSP solutions, DSP integrations, or agency trading desk technical teams.

β€’ Ability to read and write code at a functional level (JavaScript, Python, or similar); capable of reviewing tag implementations, debugging API calls, and interpreting log-level ad data without requiring assistance from Engineering.

β€’ Strong knowledge of ad quality, brand safety, viewability measurement, and third-party verification (IAS, MOAT, DV) as they relate to display and emerging format types.

β€’ Experience managing integrations with major SSPs (Index Exchange, Magnite, PubMatic, Xandr, Teads, Sovrn, or similar) and/or DSPs.

β€’ Excellent communication skills β€” capable of leading technical discussions with engineers and simplifying complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders in the same meeting.

β€’ Bonus: experience with AI advertising surfaces, contextual targeting, or native ad units; familiarity with GEO/AEO concepts and AI-driven content environments.
