This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and implement Mitsubishi Chemical's strategy for growth in the Aerospace market.
• Seek and develop new business opportunities within commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, drones/UAS, satellites, space systems, and ordnance.
• Analyze the Aerospace market to identify OEMs, Tier suppliers, key programs, and strategic influencers.
• Create focused account plans that align with business goals and long-term growth strategies.
• Act as the technical and commercial authority for Aerospace applications.
• Collaborate with Territory Managers and Regional Sales Managers to uncover, cultivate, and secure new business.
• Engage in joint customer visits to enhance relationships and identify opportunities.
• Propose material solutions and application-specific technologies to clients.
• Establish connections with aerospace manufacturers, distributors, and channel partners.
• Facilitate technical discussions involving engineering drawings, specifications, and material selection.
• Assist customers throughout the sales process, from opportunity recognition to implementation.
• Build and oversee a structured sales pipeline using CRM tools like Salesforce.
• Provide updates on customer interactions, sales opportunities, project statuses, travel plans, and business priorities.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
• Identify and eliminate obstacles that impede sales growth and customer success.
• Create technical presentations, application guides, and sales training resources.
• Represent Mitsubishi Chemical at Advanced Materials University training sessions.
• Guide Territory Managers, Regional Sales Managers, and channel partners on Aerospace applications and market trends.
• Over 10 years of experience in sales or support roles within the Aerospace industry.
• Background in commercial or military aircraft, helicopters, drones/UAS, satellites, space systems, or defense applications.
• In-depth knowledge of high-performance plastics and engineered material solutions utilized in Aerospace applications.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated success in developing new business opportunities and managing strategic customer relationships.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple opportunities at once.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-driven ability to independently devise market strategies.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• A well-established network of contacts within the Aerospace industry is preferred.
• Experience with high-performance thermoplastics, stock shapes, or engineered components is advantageous.
• Knowledge of materials such as PEEK, PPS, PAI, PEI, PI, PBI, PET-P, nylons, and polyolefins is preferred.
• Experience in supporting OEMs, distributors, or channel partners in technical sales settings is preferred.
• Experience mentoring commercial teams and delivering technical training is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
