This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Direct the development and implementation of sales strategies and plans throughout the Walgreens sales team.
• Cultivate and advance high-level customer relationships with senior leadership within the assigned territory.
• Engage with various functional groups (Merchandising, Marketing, Loyalty, etc.) at Walgreens to gain support for Vestcom Media Solutions.
• Collaborate with local CPG Shopper Teams to secure media investment for VMS products and services.
• Capably present the Vestcom shelf edge value proposition and influence clients through an in-depth understanding of our solutions, products, and services.
• Demonstrate strong analytical abilities and comprehend key retailer and CPG measurement criteria related to both top-line and bottom-line metrics.
• Exhibit exceptional listening skills and apply creative problem-solving techniques.
• Comfortable with managing individual quotas in the tens of millions.
• Oversee, recruit, and nurture the VMS shopper sales team, transforming it into a collaborative and strategic selling unit.
• Develop prospecting strategies and create presentations and proposals that position VMS as a leading shopper media value proposition.
• Manage the sales pipeline and maintain consistent close rates to meet sales targets.
• Provide precise and detailed sales forecasts using the existing CRM tool.
• Track customer, market, and competitor activities, providing insights to the company leadership team.
• Understand market dynamics and advocate for and implement next-generation solutions (e.g., digital).
• Represent VMS at trade shows and local retailer and marketing events.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with members of the Vestcom Executive, Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, Finance, Solutions, and Shopper teams to enhance the sales process.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and controls in line with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act 2002 Section 404.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 10+ years of sales experience in Retail/CPG with a focus on marketing and sales organizations.
• Experience with a leading CPG or a substantial marketing services solution provider is essential.
• Familiarity with Brand, Retail, Shopper Marketing, and Media landscapes.
• Proven track record of achieving both top-line revenue and bottom-line objectives.
• Experience in consultative, data-driven selling methodologies.
• Successful history in developing and executing sales and go-to-market strategies.
• Exceptional skills in negotiation, conflict management, account management, account penetration, strategic selling, category management, sales forecasting, and innovative sales strategies.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage relationships both upward and downward—exhibiting a Hunter-first mentality while mentoring the team.
• Outstanding analytical, oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
