This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Responsible for international sales of KLK Kolb’s chemical surfactant portfolio.
• Focus on acquiring new customers and developing sales within the Eastern Europe region.
• Accountable for volume, turnover, and contribution margin for assigned customers, in alignment with the Business Manager's directives.
• Provide comprehensive application-related consulting and support to both existing and new clients, closely collaborating with Product Management, Marketing, Research & Development, and other business units.
• Foster and nurture long-term relationships with customers, while also pursuing new client acquisition; explore new application areas and introduce innovative products and technical solutions in designated focal points.
• Ensure sustainable and profitable growth in relevant markets by actively participating in the development and execution of operational measures and projects in conjunction with the relevant internal teams.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis, along with assessing market potential; formulate strategic plans for short- and mid-term business development.
• Prepare bids, set pricing according to internal guidelines, and manage reporting and correspondence as per internal specifications.
• Initiate and coordinate the implementation of solutions within defined business sectors; ensure the delivery of final reports to clients.
• Maintain profit margins while simultaneously enhancing sales volume.
• Collaborate on strategic projects as directed by the Commercial Team Management.
• Handle complaints in close cooperation with corresponding internal departments.
• Participate in seminars, conventions, and trade fairs, including overseeing booth activities.
• A degree in chemistry (FH/Uni).
• Proven experience in sales or customer-facing roles within the surfactants sector for markets such as Home Care and I&I.
• Experience in Personal Care and/or other technical markets, including coatings, EP, Agro, MWF, lubricants, and textiles is an advantage.
• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation abilities, coupled with a confident demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills and high team competencies to achieve optimal results for clients in collaboration with other internal departments.
• Capable of connected thinking, able to comprehend complex information and communicate it succinctly.
• Proficiency in English is essential; fluency in French or German, as well as Eastern European languages, is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%-60%, primarily within Eastern Europe.
