
Sales Consultant – Single Family Builders

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Formulate a distribution strategy within the designated territory to enhance the accessibility of residential brands to end-users, incorporating both “direct dealer” and “wholesaler” distribution approaches.
• Create tailored business plans for the territory and key customers that encompass dealer targets, builder targets, promotional initiatives, shelf management programs, product training, investment strategies, and revenue objectives.
• Oversee the outside and inside sales teams of customers in selling and quoting Allegion products to end-users.
• Leverage existing marketing initiatives to bolster market-share expansion.
• Engage in cross-selling strategies, concentrating on collaboration with the Allegion sales office to enhance market-share growth.
• Ensure that sales strategies are aligned with achieving the revenue and profit targets specified in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the region and territory.
• Represent the product portfolio at national, regional, and local dealer and association exhibitions.
• Build relationships with key influencers, such as end-users, dealers, wholesalers, and multifamily builders, aiming to foster long-term loyalty to the business’s initiatives and brands.
• Conduct job site assessments to gather specification and competitive insights.
• Manage office duties, including timely report submissions to upper management, prompt credit submissions, thorough project evaluations (both financial and strategic), and effective email communication with internal and external stakeholders; oversee the management and upkeep of all builder program agreements.
• Utilize the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) tool for tracking major projects and managing customer contacts.
• Provide forecasting information to the Inventory Management Team.
• Stay informed about all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures, ensuring adherence.
• At least 3 years of sales experience is preferred.
• A High School Diploma is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Capability to learn industry-specific software and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, at all organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Proven experience in influencing others, with a proactive approach.
• Experience in the single-family builder channel industry is preferred.
• Strong presentation capabilities are essential.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
