Sales Consultant, Interiors

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Promote and sell The Home Depot's home improvement products and services for both interior and exterior needs to customers.

• Conduct outside sales visits by traveling to customer residences and attending trade shows.

• Evaluate customer requirements and offer personalized product suggestions.

• Create and negotiate customized pricing proposals.

• Provide information on warranties and financing alternatives.

• Finalize sales contracts and complete necessary documentation.

• Measure products using industry-standard techniques to ensure compliance with installation specifications.

• Seek out and secure new clients within designated Home Depot locations and at industry events.

• Visit assigned stores, foster local relationships, educate store staff about HDIS offerings, and enhance awareness of HDIS initiatives.

• Pursue referrals and nurture relationships with store management and staff.

• Participate in sales and store team meetings to refine sales strategies and gain insights into HDIS products.

• Report directly to the Sales Manager; this position does not include direct reports.

• Typically requires overnight travel about 5% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• A high school diploma and/or GED is typically required for this position.

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience is necessary.

• Previous experience in in-home or virtual sales is preferred.

• Experience in the home improvement industry is advantageous.

• Successful lead generation experience is preferred.

• Proficient in computer applications, including email, iPad usage, and relevant apps.

• Ability to stand or walk continuously and regularly lift, handle, or carry weights between 8–20 pounds.

• Comfortable working in environments with regular exposure to dust, fumes, or odors.

• No prior leadership experience is required.
