This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +6 more states.
• Cultivate and enhance relationships with key clients throughout the Midwest and East Coast regions.
• Identify and seek out new business opportunities within the designated territory.
• Conduct regular visits to customers, perform trials, and engage in technical discussions to ensure satisfaction and promote growth.
• Collaborate with internal departments (customer service, R&D, technical, sales) to address customer needs effectively.
• Maintain precise customer records, call reports, and opportunity tracking within CRM systems.
• Prepare sales forecasts and proactively manage the sales pipeline.
• Collect competitive intelligence and monitor trends in the market and industry.
• Attend and represent the company at regional and national trade exhibitions.
• Develop and implement strategic account plans aimed at driving sustainable growth.
• Assist with pricing discussions, contracts, and supply agreements in coordination with internal teams.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and technical teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Coordinate with logistics, production, and supply chain teams to ensure dependable order fulfillment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in chemical sales or a related field.
• Strong technical sales experience, preferably in specialty chemicals or phosphates.
• Proven ability to identify, develop, and expand new markets and applications.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% within the assigned territory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to engage at various organizational levels.
• Experience collaborating closely with technical and R&D teams.
• Strong skills in building relationships with customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
