This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a portfolio of Neighborhood Pet and Farm & Feed accounts to enhance sales velocity by optimizing product assortment and placement.
• Discover and implement opportunities to broaden distribution with an optimal assortment and increase in-store visibility.
• Aid in the acquisition of new stores and the expansion of existing accounts.
• Provide support to distributors and accounts.
• Cultivate strong working relationships with store managers, regional contacts, and distributor partners.
• Collaborate with distributor representatives to enhance key retail metrics and account penetration.
• Train and inform distributor representatives and store teams on Freshpet products, merchandising standards, and product advantages.
• Implement retail priorities to guarantee a robust in-store presence and performance.
• Conduct regular store audits to ensure adherence to planograms (POG), inventory levels, and chiller conditions.
• Identify and address execution gaps, including out-of-stocks, voids, and merchandising issues.
• Maintain high in-store standards consistently, including POG standards, placement of new items, and rapid distribution growth.
• Collaborate with internal teams and manage coordination (sales, marketing, operations) to ensure alignment with retail strategies and execution.
• Proactively identify and assist in resolving execution issues to sustain a strong in-store presence.
• Provide insights to enhance processes and retail performance.
• Utilize available tools (Nielsen, Power BI, internal reporting) to monitor performance and identify areas for enhancement.
• Track key performance indicators, including distribution, velocity, and inventory levels.
• Relay field insights and opportunities to elevate retail conditions.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of experience in CPG, retail, or sales (pet or perishable experience is a plus).
• Willingness to travel frequently (50–70%) and spend considerable time in the field.
• Strong work ethic with a hands-on, proactive approach.
• Ability to quickly establish relationships and communicate effectively at both the store and distributor levels.
• Basic analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (experience with Nielsen, Salesforce, or Power BI is a plus).
