This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the development, execution, and ongoing enhancement of safety, health, and security initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to company policies as well as relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
• Act as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for safety, health, and security issues.
• Collaborate with operations, HR, Legal, Internal Audit, and external agencies.
• Perform risk assessments, compliance audits, and security evaluations.
• Examine safety incidents, loss trends, and operational data.
• Lead investigations and guarantee precise documentation and reporting.
• Generate actionable insights and metrics for leadership review.
• Create and conduct safety and security training programs.
• Formulate and execute action plans to enhance safety performance and minimize risk and loss.
• Engage in process reviews and job hazard analyses.
• Establish and maintain reporting systems for safety performance, security efforts, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Foster cross-functional relationships to promote a culture of safety, security, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Travel domestically via road, rail, and air as needed, up to 75%.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including both planned and unplanned overtime.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
• Must hold a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or passport.
• Knowledge of TSA security protocols and ability to comply with them.
• Capacity to travel domestically via road, rail, and air.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience is preferred.
• 4 years of experience in a security-related field is preferred.
• Membership in a nationally recognized safety organization is preferred.
• 5 years of experience managing safety and health programs in an industrial or warehouse setting is preferred.
• Certification in W-Z interviews and interrogations is preferred.
• Experience in a distribution network and logistics environment is preferred.
• Preferred experience in project management, investigations, and training.
• Technical understanding of CCTV and alarm systems is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Competence in presenting clear, organized, and comprehensive information and data.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up capabilities.
• Proficiency in identifying and resolving issues.
• Ability to cultivate and sustain strong relationships based on fairness, honesty, and transparency.
• Must adhere to GXO policies and applicable CDC, OSHA, state, and local COVID safety regulations.
