• Manage the creation and execution of detailed safety plans and protocols for industrial construction initiatives.
• Perform comprehensive risk evaluations to pinpoint potential hazards and ensure that suitable safety measures are implemented.
• Analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to detect safety issues and offer recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Work in conjunction with project managers, engineers, and contractors to guarantee compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Carry out regular on-site inspections and safety audits to evaluate adherence to safety procedures and identify opportunities for enhancement.
• Supervise safety training and orientation for all personnel involved in the project, ensuring they are informed of safety protocols and possess the necessary knowledge and skills.
• Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective measures to avert recurrence.
• Keep abreast of industry developments, regulations, and best practices concerning industrial construction safety.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies and external safety consultants to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Maintain precise records and documentation of safety-related activities, including incident reports, training records, and safety inspections.
• Professional Safety Certification (e.g., CSP, CHST, OHST, etc.) or 10 years of comparable experience in construction safety management.
• Demonstrated experience in industrial construction safety, ideally in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Extensive knowledge of construction operations and safety regulations, including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards.
• Exceptional understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• Proven ability to create and execute comprehensive safety plans and protocols.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate and inspire a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address safety issues swiftly and effectively.
• Keen attention to detail and a dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards.
• Preferred professional certifications include Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST).
