This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.
• Conducts thorough risk assessments for insured properties and operations to guide underwriting decisions.
• Recognizes potential risk exposures and develops strategic recommendations to mitigate those risks.
• Analyzes and interprets loss data to uncover patterns and designs as well as implements loss prevention programs tailored to the specific needs of clients.
• Offers advanced technical guidance and provides training for clients on safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of loss control measures and makes strategic modifications to improve outcomes as necessary.
• May be responsible for the performance and coaching of staff and may play a role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires at least 9 years of experience in loss control, risk management, or a related field within the property and casualty insurance sector.
• Completion of or ongoing progress toward a professional designation is preferred, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Certified Safety and Health Management (CSHMS), Associate Loss Control Management (ALCM), or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST).
• Works on assignments with moderate to high levels of technical and logistical complexity.
• Demonstrates advanced analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintains an advanced understanding of company policies as well as industry laws and regulations.
• Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with results-oriented consultative abilities.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the capacity to utilize data to assess situations, identify issues, and devise effective solutions.
