This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of pipeline facilities to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Identify and record potential hazards and safety risks, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Organize safety meetings and training sessions, educating staff on best practices and safety protocols.
• Work together with cross-functional teams to create and implement safety policies and procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and suggesting preventive measures.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation and reports related to safety inspections and incidents.
• Stay informed about industry trends and changes in safety regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.
• Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives, recommending improvements when necessary.
• Offer guidance and support to employees regarding safety concerns and issues.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
• An associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Safety Inspector or in a similar position within the oil and gas sector.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and best practices pertinent to pipeline operations.
• Strong understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
• Professional certification in safety management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) is desirable.
• Experience with safety inspections and audits specifically in pipeline operations.
• Background in the construction industry is beneficial.
• OSHA 500/501 certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, along with general computer and technology literacy.
• Awareness of environmental regulations applicable to pipeline operations.
• Familiarity with process safety management (PSM) principles and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
