Ruby on Rails Developer – Mid/Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain scalable, robust RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails.

• Engage in the entire development lifecycle: from architecture and implementation to automated testing, deployment, and production monitoring.

• Contribute to the advancement of the core (monolith) as well as initiatives involving microservices and integrations with partners (such as ERPs, payment gateways, and external platforms).

• Ensure technical excellence through code reviews, adherence to engineering best practices (Clean Code, SOLID), and team standards.

• Monitor and enhance performance through APM, resource tuning, and query analysis and optimization.

• Collaborate in multidisciplinary squads utilizing an agile model (Scrum/Kanban), fostering close cooperation between engineering and product teams.

• Adapt to different contexts as needed, working with teams and workflows in TypeScript and mobile, while maintaining a holistic perspective.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated senior-level experience with Ruby on Rails.

• Strong expertise in REST APIs (design, documentation, and consumption).

• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling.

• Proficient in Git/GitHub.

• Well-versed in automated testing (e.g., RSpec) and knowledgeable about unit, integration, and black-box testing methodologies.

• Experience with cloud services (AWS).

• Ownership mentality: autonomy, proactivity, and a commitment to delivering value with technical accountability.

• Experience with microservices architecture and messaging (AWS SNS/SQS) is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and caching/queuing systems (Redis, DocumentDB, DynamoDB) is a plus.

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Argo CD) is a plus.

• Proficiency in Spanish (not mandatory) is a plus.
