This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend features and APIs utilizing Ruby on Rails.
• Create scalable backend services that support business applications.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to provide business-oriented solutions.
• Enhance application performance, reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
• Write clean, production-ready code with suitable test coverage (unit and integration tests).
• Engage in code reviews and adhere to engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot application issues and assist with production deployments.
• Participate in agile development processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Minimum of 4 years of commercial experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Significant experience in building and maintaining production-grade APIs and backend systems.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database design.
• Experience with RSpec and automated testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Heroku.
• Knowledge of software architecture principles and backend scalability concepts.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English (B2+ level).
