This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Support the Right of Way Department in assessing the necessity for and acquiring valid right of way documentation.
• Engage in communication and negotiations with property owners regarding new installations, modifications to jobs, and design alterations.
• Travel across eastern and central Pennsylvania to meet with landowners.
• Adhere to engineering and construction timelines by securing the required right of way.
• Identify properties needed for projects and negotiate agreements for both permanent installations and temporary laydown areas.
• Establish property ownership through the examination of courthouse records, tax maps, and field inspections.
• Act as a liaison between property owners and utility clients during outreach efforts and negotiations.
• Review all right of way agreements prior to client approval and submission to court.
• Ensure job status is accurately updated in all work management systems.
• Create clear and concise documentation of the right of way process.
• The ideal candidate will possess outstanding public relations and communication skills.
• Ability to interact comfortably and cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
• Familiarity with work management tools and related technologies such as GIS and Google Earth.
• Capability to work collaboratively with both internal and external teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time during peak periods.
• Professional Designation: PA Notary Public or the ability to obtain it.
• A valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to read and effectively interpret engineering drawings and legal documents related to real estate and right of way transactions is advantageous.
