This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• The Route Sales Representative is tasked with selling and merchandising a range of high-quality products at local retail locations.

• Operate a Smithfield Foods box truck.

• Work from Monday to Friday, totaling 50 to 55 hours per week, with potential for occasional Saturday or Holiday shifts as necessary.

• Provide pricing quotes and credit terms while preparing sales invoices for secured orders.

• Deliver products to customers, stock retail displays, and rotate inventory as needed.

• Compile end-of-day reports on business transactions and communicate any unresolved issues or opportunities to local management.

• Maintain daily Department of Transportation logs and submit them to local management as required.

• Keep track of daily truck inventory, conduct weekly physical inventories, and report any discrepancies to local management.

• Drive to designated locations.

• Utilize equipment (e.g., carts, pallets, etc.) to offload products and facilitate movement within the store.

• Rotate products, discard defective and expired items, and manage returns and credits with the receiver.


⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• At least 6 months of experience in route sales, grocery, warehousing, or delivery is required.

• A valid Driver's License is necessary, and a valid CDL-B Driver’s License must be obtained within 90 days of the start date.

• Federal Regulations stipulate that individuals in this role must be at least 21 years old.

• Capability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, verbal, or scheduling formats.

• Proficiency in composing routine reports and correspondence.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Demonstrated respectfulness, approachability, and teamwork, while fostering strong working relationships and a positive workplace.
