Rotational Pilot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.

📋 Description

• Support the Pilot-in-Command in all facets of flight operations.

• Prepare the cockpit, review flight plans and procedures, and carry out pre-flight checks.

• Monitor and manage aircraft systems, navigation, and communication throughout the flight.

• Ensure adherence to flight regulations, standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.

• Maintain current qualifications and skills through initial and recurrent training.

• Communicate effectively with air traffic control, other aircraft, ground personnel, and operational staff.

• Maintain and update aircraft logs, flight logs, maintenance records, fuel logs, incident reports, and other relevant documentation.

• Assist in aircraft navigation utilizing GPS, autopilot, and traditional techniques.

• Cross-verify navigation data and ensure the aircraft stays on course.

• Provide outstanding customer service to passengers and clients.

• Collaborate with the flight crew and ground personnel to enhance effective Crew Resource Management.

• Report safety issues and incidents promptly, contributing to a culture of safety.

• Participate in training sessions, simulator exercises, and proficiency evaluations.

• Remain informed about advancements in aviation technology, regulations, and safety procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the company.

• Operate from a designated Qavvik Air operations base, with assignments subject to modification based on business and operational requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fulfill the minimum qualifications outlined in Federal Aviation Regulation Part 135.293 flight check.

• At least 1,200 logged flight hours.

• Possession of a Commercial Pilot Certificate with a single-engine land certificate and Instrument rating.

• Turbo-prop experience is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of the operations manual and complete knowledge of company operations and procedures relevant to the Pilot-in-Command role.

• Valid second-class aviation medical certificate issued by an accredited aviation medical examiner.

• Current driver's license with a satisfactory driving record that meets NANA's insurance requirements.

• Sufficient physical fitness to operate aircraft controls, perform pre-flight inspections, and manage emergency situations.

• Good vision, including color vision and depth perception.

• Comply with medical standards established by relevant aviation authorities.

• Ability to work irregular hours and travel as necessary.

• Willingness to travel up to 100% to various locations within the U.S. and/or remote areas.

• Capability to utilize alternative transportation methods including snow machines, boats, small airplanes, and ATVs as needed.

• Strong comprehension of aircraft systems, navigation, and flight procedures.

• Proficient in maneuvering assistance, navigation, instrument interpretation, and emergency response protocols.

• Excellent situational awareness and decision-making acumen.

• Clear and effective communication abilities.
