Risk Manager – P&C Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct PURE 360 Risk evaluations by assessing diverse and intricate property conditions across various regions, construction styles, and environmental elements, determining risk exposure.

• Analyze and interpret results to evaluate loss likelihood and severity, utilizing professional judgment to establish suitable recommendations.

• Propose loss prevention measures by identifying feasible solutions and prioritizing actions based on their impact on risk.

• Collaborate with Underwriting and internal teams to offer insights that enhance risk selection and inform business choices.

• Clearly communicate assessment findings and recommendations, including the reasoning behind decisions and potential risk consequences.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is preferred, although not mandatory – relevant field experience is highly regarded.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Risk Manager at an insurance company, or in a related insurance position with exposure to property risk evaluation and broader risk management practices, or 5 years in high-value home construction, skilled trades (such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC), home inspection, appraisal, or a related discipline.

• Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential.

• Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in complex scenarios.

• Capability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.

• Detail-oriented with robust problem-solving abilities.
