Senior Margin Risk Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Create and improve margin risk models along with quantitative risk control methodologies to bolster the risk management framework for financial trading systems.

• Develop, validate, and enhance margin methodologies, risk measurement tools, and analytical models to efficiently track leverage, collateral, and trading exposure.

• Perform margin risk analysis, evaluation, and mitigation based on the attributes of financial products, trading strategies, and prevailing market conditions.

• Assess and review margin adequacy, liquidation risk, and portfolio exposure, while suggesting enhancements to reinforce risk controls.

• Streamline production risk management processes and spearhead the establishment of robust margin risk management capabilities using big data platforms and analytics.

• Work closely with Trading, Product, Engineering, and Data teams to deploy scalable risk solutions and perpetually refine the firm's margin risk framework.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ideally possess 6–8+ years of experience in margin risk, market risk, risk analytics, or performance analysis within financial trading institutions, exchanges, brokerages, proprietary trading firms, or fintech companies.

• Strong grasp of margin methodologies, financial risk management, statistics, and data analytics.

• Experience with derivatives, leveraged products, futures, options, or margin trading is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret intricate trading and risk data.

• Self-driven, able to excel in a dynamic trading environment, and proficient in working effectively under pressure.
