This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Successfully manage the implementation of Empyrean's ALM, LST, FTP, Model IQ, Capital Stress Testing, and CECL solutions from the initial project phase to go-live.
• Convert client objectives related to interest rate risk, liquidity risk, capital, credit loss, transfer pricing, and model governance into effective and sustainable implementation strategies.
• Set up balance sheet frameworks, cash flow assumptions, rate and capital stress scenarios, as well as CECL/ACL methodologies.
• Ensure the completeness, reconciliation, and reliability of client data for accurate modeling and reporting.
• Empower clients to generate and rely on reports concerning IRR, liquidity, capital, transfer pricing, and credit loss.
• Assist in the development and governance of models using Model IQ.
• Provide training to clients for independent administration of the solution and self-sufficient reporting.
• Offer recommendations to clients regarding best practices in data management, reporting, and balance sheet risk assessment.
• Act as a liaison between client users and Empyrean's product management team, ensuring client needs inform product development.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools and standardized processes to enhance delivery efficiency and consistency.
• Protect sensitive customer information by adhering to relevant policies and controls while using authorized transmission methods.
• A degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, risk management, FP&A, or financial technology.
• Strong understanding of the banking sector, accounting principles, and financial statements.
• Proficient in Excel and experienced in handling large datasets.
• Excellent attention to detail coupled with effective planning and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience in developing statistical or behavioral models, including regression-based NMD, prepayment, or PD/LGD modeling.
• Comfortable with following and enhancing structured processes.
• Proven AI literacy in a professional setting.
• Good judgment regarding the application of AI, including an understanding of data handling and confidentiality issues.
• Basic knowledge of asset/liability management (ALM), interest rate risk, Capital Stress Testing, and liquidity risk concepts, including liquidity stress testing (LST).
• Basic knowledge of Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP).
• Familiarity with CECL/ALLL methodologies and calculations of allowances for credit losses.
• Understanding of model risk management, model validation, or model governance frameworks like Model IQ.
• Familiarity with regulatory capital planning and stress testing frameworks such as CCAR/DFAST.
• Knowledge of fixed-income cash flow calculations and fixed income mathematics.
• Experience in implementing ALM, liquidity, Capital Stress Testing, or CECL solutions within a financial institution.
• Background in financial data management, ETL tools, and Microsoft Power Query.
• Proficiency in SQL or other data analysis tools.
• Previous experience in consulting, implementation, or customer success roles.
• Experience in building or enhancing repeatable, AI-assisted workflows.
