This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Analyze risk management data to pinpoint specific risk areas and evaluate the overall risk associated with programs and projects concerning cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with program team members to collect, verify, and interpret risk data along with supporting documentation.
• Create and sustain risk registers, risk matrices, and risk tracking tools for both program and project-level applications.
• Recognize emerging risk areas and escalate notable risks to program leadership with suggested mitigation strategies.
• Generate narrative, graphic, and oral status reports that effectively communicate risk identification, assessment, and mitigation updates to both internal and governmental client audiences.
• Assist in the formulation and execution of risk mitigation and contingency plans in partnership with program managers and stakeholders.
• Conduct qualitative and/or quantitative risk assessments utilizing established risk management frameworks and methodologies.
• Oversee and monitor the status of identified risks and mitigation efforts throughout the program lifecycle.
• Participate in lessons-learned activities and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of risk management processes.
• Prepare and present risk briefings, formal reports, and presentations tailored for government clients and senior program leadership.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in risk management, program analysis, or a related field supporting government programs or complex projects.
• Proven experience in reviewing risk management data and evaluating program or project risk across cost, schedule, and performance dimensions.
• Skilled in developing and maintaining risk registers, risk matrices, and associated risk tracking documentation.
• Experience in working with multi-disciplinary program teams to gather and validate risk data.
• Capability to identify risk areas and create narrative, graphic, and oral risk status reports for varied audiences.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies (e.g., PMBOK risk management processes or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and risk tracking or project management tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in producing formal reports and delivering briefings to executive-level stakeholders.
