This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Implement Zurich risk engineering solutions for construction clients to minimize losses and enhance risk management results.
• Utilize Zurich's risk engineering tools and services to bolster customer risk and overall account management for Construction Insurance offerings, which include Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Liability.
• Provide consultative services, pinpoint exposures, assess risk control deficiencies, and formulate actionable risk mitigation strategies.
• Build and sustain relationships with customers and business partners while crafting suitable service plans.
• Collaborate with Construction Underwriting to assess both existing and potential customers.
• Discover opportunities for fee-based services that aid in risk mitigation and performance enhancement.
• Create and deliver sophisticated presentations and risk management training sessions.
• Offer risk improvement recommendations, perform loss investigations with trend and root cause analysis, and execute risk improvement initiatives.
• Support corporate and project-specific safety strategies, QA/QC programs, construction defect inquiries, building envelope assessments, and moisture mitigation plans.
• Engage with local construction industry associations.
• Risk Engineering Consultant: A Bachelor's Degree with 3 or more years of experience in Risk Engineering; OR a high school diploma or equivalent with 5 or more years of experience; OR Zurich Certified Apprentice, encompassing an associate degree and 3 or more years of experience.
• Senior Risk Engineering Consultant: A Bachelor's Degree with 6 or more years of experience in Risk Engineering, Safety/Risk Management, Construction Field Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline; OR a high school diploma or equivalent with 8 or more years of experience; OR Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an associate degree and 6 or more years of experience.
• Experience in a collaborative team environment.
• Relevant expertise in assessing risks based on line-of-business competency benchmarks.
• In-depth knowledge of construction safety, operations, quality management, and related risks, exposures, and controls.
• Experience with large-scale commercial construction, data center construction, and both regulated and non-regulated fleets.
• Strong skills in technical writing and presentations.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and consulting abilities.
• High level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Copilot, as well as mobile iOS devices.
• Professional certifications such as CHST, ASP, CSP, CRIS, or ARM.
• Relevant background as a corporate safety professional, site safety leader, project manager, or superintendent with safety duties.
• Proven leadership and participation in professional, community, or public service engagements.
• Openness to embracing Zurich Basics and its core values.
• Final candidates are required to complete a Motor Vehicle record background check.
• Willingness to travel 30% to 50%, including overnight travel 20% to 30%.
