This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide the Underwriter with insights regarding account hazards, controls, and management.

• Assess how a company identifies and manages its inherent risk factors.

• Distinguish the account from others in comparable business classes.

• Maintain a consistent field presence, dedicating approximately 20% - 50% of time onsite with clients.

• Traveling to clients may involve long-distance, overnight, and/or multi-night trips based on business needs and geographical alignment.

• Collaborate and jointly own responsibilities with Underwriting to select, retain, and expand a profitable book of business.

• Establish and nurture productive relationships with Underwriting, Claim, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers to service clients as a cohesive team.

• Conduct all lines risk assessment evaluations for various businesses with moderate to high complexity, including manufacturing, large warehouse operations with challenging properties, products liability exposures with potential severe losses, multi-location companies, and larger fleet exposures typically involving significant risks.

• Compose technically detailed reports that provide a clear risk assessment and effectively communicate recommendations.

• Identify and analyze customer needs through loss analysis and readiness to offer Risk Control products and services aimed at loss prevention.

• Recognize uncontrolled exposures to encourage clients to implement improvements and corrective actions to mitigate potential losses.

• Offer solutions to assist clients in risk mitigation utilizing our extensive range of resources.

• Stay updated on technical subjects, regulatory environments, and emerging issues.

• Create a valued customer experience during each assessment and service interaction.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, construction management, basic sciences, or related technical fields.

• Strong working knowledge of the insurance industry and business acumen.

• Relevant certifications recognized in the field (such as ASP, CSP, ARM, CFPS).

• Technical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with others.

• Experience in a collaborative work environment.

• Strong critical thinking skills.

• Influencing abilities that effectively address business needs.

• Skills in negotiating change to achieve optimal results.

• Capacity to give and receive coaching and feedback.

• Five years of experience in safety, risk control/management, or a related field, such as occupational/environmental health and safety, science, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or relevant military experience.

• Valid driver's license required.

• Must possess or be able to obtain appropriate certification to fulfill state-specific requirements, where applicable.
