This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Evaluate new merchant applications and determine their eligibility to operate on the Polar platform.

• Perform continuous account assessments to detect changes in merchant behavior or risk profile.

• Assess merchants for adherence to Polar's Acceptable Use Policy and other platform standards.

• Investigate instances of fraud, payment risk indicators, disputes, chargebacks, and other questionable activities.

• Oversee merchant offboarding, payout holds, and various risk-reduction measures.

• Collaborate with payment providers and internal teams to address compliance and account-related matters.

• Document review outcomes and uphold clear, consistent internal procedures.

• Identify areas for enhancing risk workflows, tools, and operational effectiveness.

• Monitor emerging abuse patterns and escalate intricate or high-risk cases to management.

• Acquire knowledge of Polar's products, the merchant onboarding process, and the Merchant of Record model.

• Take full ownership of merchant evaluations from the initial review to the final decision.

• Manage complex risk and compliance scenarios and suggest operational enhancements.

• Collaborate with Product, Support, and Operations teams to refine workflows and improve the merchant experience.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years experience in Risk Operations, Trust & Safety, Compliance, Fraud Operations, Payments, or Merchant Operations.

• Strong analytical and investigative abilities with outstanding attention to detail.

• Excellent written communication skills with the capacity to clearly and professionally articulate complex decisions.

• Experience in reviewing accounts, investigating fraud, or assessing merchant risk is essential.

• Competency in prioritizing competing tasks and making consistent, well-informed decisions.

• Comfortable collaborating across functions with Support, Product, and external payment partners.

• Familiarity with SQL for data investigation, validating risk indicators, and addressing operational inquiries is advantageous.
