This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Carry out primary and open-source intelligence research within one or more of the 12 Nexus of Risk domains: cyber, physical security, personnel, operational, financial, technology, safety, strategic, reputation, compliance and regulatory, supply chain, and geopolitical.
• Create written analytical products including flat-rate client advisories, sector briefings, alert notifications, and content for subscription-tier deliverables.
• Utilize structured analytic techniques to assess likelihood, impact, and intersecting effects across risk domains, in alignment with the Nexus of Risk methodology.
• Leverage the Tacilent platform and complementary intelligence tools to enhance research workflows, evidence tracking, and product publication.
• Uphold analytical rigor as per the Nexus of Risk taxonomy and Apogee editorial standards, ensuring academic register in framework references and a clear distinction between framework content and illustrative examples.
• Provide research contributions to RRAG-supported assets, which include the Risk Apogee podcast, the RRAG webinar series, and content for LinkedIn distribution.
• Engage in weekly editorial planning and product review sessions with the RRAG team.
• Between three to seven years of professional experience in risk analysis, intelligence analysis, cybersecurity research, threat intelligence, geopolitical analysis, or a closely related research role.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as intelligence studies, security studies, international relations, computer science, risk management, criminal justice, public policy, or an equivalent discipline.
• A demonstrated portfolio of written analytical products. Candidates should be ready to present two to three sanitized writing samples.
• A working understanding of at least one Nexus domain, along with analytical literacy across related domains.
• Proficient in OSINT methods, source evaluation, and structured sourcing.
• Strong command of written English. Ability to write in a defined editorial voice and make revisions efficiently based on feedback.
