This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Lead customized account experiences for Health Care Providers and key accounts.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients.
• Establish significant customer relationships and identify common goals.
• Navigate solutions that connect customers to Novartis resources for enhancing patient outcomes.
• Balance demand generation with strategic engagement of accounts.
• Address and resolve account issues with tailored solutions.
• Develop strategic territory plans that stimulate product demand and support patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office colleagues.
• Analyze market conditions, competitive landscape, and cross-functional dynamics to foresee opportunities and challenges.
• Utilize territory data and market trends to uncover local insights and facilitate pull-through efforts.
• Lead impactful customer interactions both virtually and in person.
• Organize planning sessions with stakeholders to address complex challenges.
• Provide real-time access support and work in partnership with Patient Specialty Services.
• Employ digital tools and omni-channel strategies for both virtual and face-to-face customer outreach.
• Bachelor’s degree required from a 4-year college or university.
• Experience within the last 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, B2B, or similarly structured/complex sales environments.
• Associate level: limited prior sales experience, or recently separated from the US Military with 4+ years of military service in a leadership role.
• Territory Account Specialist: 2+ years’ experience in a relevant industry or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years.
• Senior Territory Account Specialist: 5+ years’ experience in a relevant industry or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years.
• Executive Territory Account Specialist: 10+ years’ experience in a relevant industry or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years.
• Proven track record of sustained high performance.
• Experience in navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers.
• Analytical skills to seek, prioritize, and apply relevant information for solving customer issues.
• Ethical leadership with the ability to promote ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and laws.
• Candidate must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a broad geography.
• Capability to drive and/or fly within the territory.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• Desirable: experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
• Desirable: understanding of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and medical calling on HCPs.
• Customer-facing employees must adhere to customers’ credentialing guidelines, which may necessitate vaccination.
• Successful completion of initial training, including home study of no more than 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
