Rheumatologist – Physician Reviewer – Radiology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the Physician match reviewer for Imaging cases that initially do not satisfy the relevant medical necessity guidelines.

• Engage in discussions regarding determinations through peer-to-peer phone calls with requesting physicians or ordering providers.

• Apply medical and clinical review guidelines and parameters to ensure uniformity in the MD review process.

• Guarantee that all communications with medical office staff and/or MD providers are documented promptly and accurately.

• Involve oneself in ongoing training as part of the inter-rater reliability process.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD/DO/MBBS degree.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the practice of Medicine, following residency.

• Preferably, possess active clinical practice experience within the last 2 years.

• Hold a current, unrestricted clinical license in the relevant state or specialty.

• Maintain active Board Certification from an accredited organization.

• Exhibit strong clinical, management, communication, and organizational skills.

• Be energetic and curious, with a commitment to quality and value in healthcare.

• Demonstrate computer proficiency.

• Not be currently excluded or sanctioned by any state or federal healthcare program.

• Have no history of significant disciplinary or legal action from a state medical board.
