RF Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design wireless systems for in-building Distributed Antenna System (DAS) deployments.

• Create passive and active DAS and small cell solutions to fulfill coverage and capacity needs.

• Collaborate with construction teams, vendors, technicians, deployment and integration teams, OEMs, carriers, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Assist in the proper deployment of systems.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, carrier standards, and industry best practices.

• Analyze and interpret architectural floor plans and construction drawings.

• Generate clear design documentation that is ready for carrier review.

• Utilize iBwave for DAS design tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience using iBwave for DAS design tasks.

• Background in designing in-building wireless systems, including passive and active DAS and small cell solutions.

• Previous experience collaborating with T-Mobile on in-building wireless or DAS initiatives.

• Experience in coordinating with construction teams, vendors, and technicians.

• Proven ability to work with deployment and integration teams, OEMs, carriers, project managers, and various stakeholders.

• Commitment to ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, carrier standards, and industry best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.

• iBwave Level 3 Designer certification.

• Experience in reading and interpreting architectural floor plans and construction drawings.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, Figma, and general design/documentation tools.

• A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with multi-carrier in-building systems for major operators is preferred.

• Familiarity with airports, stadiums, hospitals, and large commercial buildings is preferred.

• Knowledge of public safety systems, including ERRCS, FirstNet, and CBRS or private LTE networks is preferred.

• Understanding of OSHA and site-specific safety guidelines is preferred.
