Revenue Recovery Specialist, Clinical Denials

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Utilize the Artiva workflow management system to manage follow-ups on patient bills and claims.

• Recover revenue from responsible business entities through professional billing practices and ethical collection efforts.

• Analyze data to pinpoint the root causes of denied or unpaid claims and determine subsequent actions.

• Seek and gather necessary information to challenge claim denials, including details about patients and responsible parties, medical necessity, employer information, and accident details.

• Ensure compliance with timely filing guidelines to maximize reimbursement.

• Escalate complex, challenging, or complicated accounts to management.

• Identify and discuss root cause issues with management.

• Engage in daily communication with payers and patients.

• Draft appeal letters.

• Utilize web-based client and payer portals as well as notation databases.

• A high level of professionalism.

• Compliance with all debt collection rules and regulations.

• Adherence to HIPAA requirements.

• Moderate proficiency with computers.

• Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills for timely follow-up and accurate record-keeping.

• Mathematical skills to perform calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Familiarity with CPT and ICD coding is preferred.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

• Capacity to maintain professionalism when interacting with payers and patients.

• Valid government-issued photo ID required during screening and/or interviews.
