Revenue Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end revenue closing process, ensuring that revenue recognition is complete, accurate, and timely across all business sectors.

• Review and authorize journal entries, account reconciliations, and revenue schedules created by team members, offering clear guidance and feedback.

• Assess new and existing customer contracts and business arrangements to establish the correct revenue treatment in accordance with ASC 606 (U.S. GAAP).

• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Sales, Legal, and Product teams to evaluate the accounting implications of new products, pricing strategies, and contract conditions.

• Take ownership of and improve revenue accounting processes and internal controls, identifying chances to automate, standardize, and scale operations.

• Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly management reports, including variance analysis and insights into significant revenue trends.

• Facilitate external and internal audits by managing deliverables, addressing inquiries, and ensuring that audit-ready documentation is thorough and timely.

• Oversee SOX compliance for revenue-related processes, including the design, execution, documentation, and remediation of controls.

• Lead, develop, and mentor accounting personnel by establishing expectations, reviewing their work, and fostering career advancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.

• Over 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with considerable expertise in revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP (ASC 606).

• Previous experience in a lead, supervisory, or managerial accounting position, including reviewing work and guiding other team members.

• Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance requirements, with experience collaborating with internal and external auditors.

• Proficient in ERP and close-management/reporting tools; experience with NetSuite and FloQast is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience working with U.S.-based business teams.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
