This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of the commercial strategy for both brands: evaluate performance against the current growth plan and adjust direction when necessary.
• Propel the execution of the growth strategy across both brands, with full responsibility for commercial performance (overall revenue figures, growth, year-over-year sales, pricing strategies, etc.).
• Oversee two distinct sales initiatives simultaneously: competitor displacement timed with renewals (Paygate) and inbound/partnership efforts (London & Zurich), each with its own rhythm and metrics.
• Direct the marketing function, managing two marketing team members, brand positioning, demand generation, and go-to-market execution.
• Lead commercial negotiations regarding partnership agreements, including the assessment of legal contracts and liability terms (direct, consequential, third-party).
• Collaborate with the CPO and CTO to ensure alignment between the product roadmap and commercial opportunities.
• Work with the COO to ensure operational delivery aligns with what is marketed and sold.
• Partner with the Head of Compliance to ensure that commercial activities adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Represent the commercial viewpoint in broader business strategy discussions at the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) level.
• Manage a team of approximately seven, including two sales lines (each encompassing new business and account management), two marketing roles, one business development/telemarketing position across brands, and a sales administrator.
• Experience working in a regulated industry and managing sales teams within that framework (experience with the FCA is preferred, though not exclusively in payments).
• A proven history of developing and evolving commercial strategy, not just executing an existing plan.
• Proven experience managing multiple sales motions concurrently, each with distinct metrics and rhythms.
• Experience in executing and shaping commercial strategy over an extended timeframe.
• Demonstrated commercial success in a sales leadership position.
• Strong track record in people management.
• Capable of personally reading and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• A collaborative working style, particularly with product, operations, and compliance functions.
• Knowledge of Direct Debit or Bacs would be advantageous, but is not essential.
