This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Oversee and direct daily operations within the designated functional area.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates, accreditation criteria, and organizational policies.
• Employ key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess effectiveness, monitor trends, and implement data-informed strategies for enhancement.
• Utilize healthcare technology and analytical tools to boost efficiency, aid in decision-making, and foster innovation in Mid-Revenue Cycle processes.
• Collaborate with clinical, IT, Compliance, and Revenue Cycle leaders to seamlessly integrate Mid-Revenue Cycle processes.
• Manage and nurture a team of professionals by undertaking human resource responsibilities such as recruitment, performance assessments, and professional growth.
• Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, supervise timelines, and promote system improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in mid-revenue cycle operations, coding, HIM, or healthcare technology, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within a large integrated healthcare system.
• Mid-Revenue Cycle Expertise: Proven knowledge of facility coding, professional coding, and HIM operational guidelines and workflows relevant to the scope of work.
• Familiarity with third-party reimbursement programs, state and federal regulatory mandates, national and local coverage determinations, and coding classification systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
• Capability to organize, compile, and analyze data from diverse sources to identify patterns and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
• Strong grasp of EHR systems and other revenue cycle technology solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Experience in streamlining workflows and enhancing operational effectiveness within a multifaceted healthcare environment.
• Proven track record of managing teams, mentoring staff, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage clinicians, finance, IT, and revenue cycle teams to align objectives, facilitate integration, and propel strategic initiatives.
