This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and cultivate a team of revenue accounting professionals, encompassing hiring, onboarding, performance management, goal-setting, and ongoing coaching.
• Take ownership of the month-end revenue close process, guiding staff in executing journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue schedules while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and GAAP compliance prior to submission.
• Provide strategic direction for the Accounts Receivable function, establishing collection targets, monitoring AR aging and KPIs, and escalating concerns to Sales and Account Management leadership as necessary.
• Act as the senior authority on client invoicing policies and the Sage contracts module, developing standards and controls for invoice review and approval within the team.
• Lead the annual audit process for all revenue and AR areas, coordinating team deliverables, managing timelines, and serving as the primary liaison for external auditors.
• Build and sustain strong partnerships with Sales, Account Management, Legal, and Operations, representing Finance in cross-functional discussions regarding contract terms, billing structures, and revenue recognition.
• Identify and spearhead process improvement and automation initiatives throughout the revenue cycle, enhancing efficiency and scalability as CareMetx expands.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance while fulfilling other assigned duties.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required; a CPA or advanced degree is a plus.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
• Proven track record of leading or significantly contributing to annual financial audits; experience with public accounting firms is preferred.
• Demonstrated capability to lead, motivate, and develop a team; strong performance management and coaching abilities.
• In-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606), accounts receivable management, and internal controls.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills; capable of presenting financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders and fostering effective relationships across departments.
• Proficient in financial software (experience with the Sage contracts module is preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
