• Works collaboratively with clinical departments, coding, finance, and IT to address discrepancies.
• Engages with charge-generating departments to guarantee accurate and timely charge capture.
• Performs regular reviews of charges and documentation to pinpoint missed revenue opportunities.
• Aids clinical and operational teams in resolving charge discrepancies and denials associated with charge capture.
• Collaborates with clinical and operational sectors to assess new services or procedural enhancements.
• Executes root cause analysis and offers data-driven recommendations for revenue cycle departments.
• Delivers fundamental education to departments regarding charge capture expectations, regulatory updates, and revenue reconciliation.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Healthcare Revenue Cycle, Revenue Integrity, or Reimbursement.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and other relevant software.
• Strong familiarity with Epic, including basic reporting tools, system navigation, and workflows.
• Working knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding Systems (HCPCS), revenue codes, Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC)/Diagnosis-Related Group (DRG) concepts, and payer billing regulations.
• Understanding of healthcare regulatory standards.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills that convey clear and concise information.
• Ability to analyze financial and operational data effectively to support decision-making.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
