Revenue Cycle Supervisor – Epic Professional Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Provide assistance to Lead Supervisors in the daily support of domestic revenue cycle team members.

• Manage a designated segment of the HMS account population for clients.

• Act as a primary contact for daily inquiries and account escalations.

• Report directly to the leadership team of the Domestic Business Office.

• Ensure that team members receive sufficient work each day and that their workloads are manageable.

• Support staff by addressing questions and account escalations, providing answers or escalating as necessary.

• Ensure staff effectively communicate with payers concerning delayed or denied accounts.

• Assist with denial resolution processes, which include appeals, claim corrections, and escalations.

• Promote operational changes and improvement initiatives.

• Contribute to education and training efforts.

• Encourage a collaborative environment that fosters teamwork, communication, performance recognition, and a focus on goals.

• Align work standards with the highest levels of client service.

• Leverage revenue cycle expertise to identify, recommend, and implement performance enhancements.

• Operate in a professional office setting utilizing standard office equipment.

• Remain seated at a desk or computer for eight hours each day and engage in video/audio conference calls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess current permanent work authorization in the U.S.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the revenue cycle is necessary.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.

• Familiarity with accounting systems and insurance-related issues is essential.

• Understanding of healthcare industry trends and issues is necessary.

• Knowledge of legal matters pertinent to the field of expertise is needed.

• Awareness of required third-party and governmental guidelines is essential.

• Proficient in work processing skills.

• Extensive knowledge of payer guidelines and reimbursement processes is required.

• Experience with both government and non-government insurance is essential.

• Ability to analyze, collect, and interpret data trends is necessary.

• Capability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement actionable solutions.

• Familiarity with Epic system workflows is preferred.

• Strong communication skills with a proven history of managing interpersonal relationships effectively.
