This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
β’ Provide assistance to Lead Supervisors in the daily support of domestic revenue cycle team members.
β’ Manage a designated segment of the HMS account population for clients.
β’ Act as a primary contact for daily inquiries and account escalations.
β’ Report directly to the leadership team of the Domestic Business Office.
β’ Ensure that team members receive sufficient work each day and that their workloads are manageable.
β’ Support staff by addressing questions and account escalations, providing answers or escalating as necessary.
β’ Ensure staff effectively communicate with payers concerning delayed or denied accounts.
β’ Assist with denial resolution processes, which include appeals, claim corrections, and escalations.
β’ Promote operational changes and improvement initiatives.
β’ Contribute to education and training efforts.
β’ Encourage a collaborative environment that fosters teamwork, communication, performance recognition, and a focus on goals.
β’ Align work standards with the highest levels of client service.
β’ Leverage revenue cycle expertise to identify, recommend, and implement performance enhancements.
β’ Operate in a professional office setting utilizing standard office equipment.
β’ Remain seated at a desk or computer for eight hours each day and engage in video/audio conference calls.
β’ Must possess current permanent work authorization in the U.S.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent is required.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in the revenue cycle is necessary.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
β’ Familiarity with accounting systems and insurance-related issues is essential.
β’ Understanding of healthcare industry trends and issues is necessary.
β’ Knowledge of legal matters pertinent to the field of expertise is needed.
β’ Awareness of required third-party and governmental guidelines is essential.
β’ Proficient in work processing skills.
β’ Extensive knowledge of payer guidelines and reimbursement processes is required.
β’ Experience with both government and non-government insurance is essential.
β’ Ability to analyze, collect, and interpret data trends is necessary.
β’ Capability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement actionable solutions.
β’ Familiarity with Epic system workflows is preferred.
β’ Strong communication skills with a proven history of managing interpersonal relationships effectively.
