Revenue Cycle Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive accounts receivable management — addressing aged accounts, detecting patterns, and resolving intricate claims.

• Oversee the resolution of denials — including root cause analysis, composing appeals, following up with payers, and identifying trends.

• Review and address charge entry discrepancies that necessitate coding knowledge or payer-specific expertise.

• Manage complex billing challenges escalated by Champions or discovered through dashboard analysis.

• Execute assigned tasks under the guidance and prioritization of the Client Champion.

• Report systemic patterns identified during specialist activities back to the Champion.

• Assist in developing new procedures when recurring issues highlight a process gap.

• Provide support during high-touch client periods — including new payer onboarding, system transitions, and handling inherited backlogs.

• Offer coverage assistance when a Champion's workload reaches its limit.

• Maintain and enhance sub-specialty knowledge in designated areas.

• Contribute to the documentation of policies and procedures within areas of expertise.

• Engage in Client Champion team meetings to share insights from a specialist perspective.

• Remain updated on changes in payer policies, coding revisions, and denial trends within specific focus areas.

• High school diploma.

• Minimum of two years of experience in medical practice billing.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Required experience with eCW and/or athena (3+ years).
