This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +5 more states.
β’ Conduct comprehensive accounts receivable management β addressing aged accounts, detecting patterns, and resolving intricate claims.
β’ Oversee the resolution of denials β including root cause analysis, composing appeals, following up with payers, and identifying trends.
β’ Review and address charge entry discrepancies that necessitate coding knowledge or payer-specific expertise.
β’ Manage complex billing challenges escalated by Champions or discovered through dashboard analysis.
β’ Execute assigned tasks under the guidance and prioritization of the Client Champion.
β’ Report systemic patterns identified during specialist activities back to the Champion.
β’ Assist in developing new procedures when recurring issues highlight a process gap.
β’ Provide support during high-touch client periods β including new payer onboarding, system transitions, and handling inherited backlogs.
β’ Offer coverage assistance when a Champion's workload reaches its limit.
β’ Maintain and enhance sub-specialty knowledge in designated areas.
β’ Contribute to the documentation of policies and procedures within areas of expertise.
β’ Engage in Client Champion team meetings to share insights from a specialist perspective.
β’ Remain updated on changes in payer policies, coding revisions, and denial trends within specific focus areas.
β’ High school diploma.
β’ Minimum of two years of experience in medical practice billing.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
β’ Required experience with eCW and/or athena (3+ years).
