Revenue Cycle Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage, evaluate, and file insurance claims through resolution of payment issues.

• Support patients with inquiries regarding billing and assist in the collection of outstanding patient balances.

• Handle insurance billing and collections, including claims for Medicaid and Medicare, in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.

• Gather and input patient insurance details into the ACS Compumed System.

• Assess, confirm, and submit insurance claims.

• Process communications from Third Party Payors and address patient requests.

• Follow up with insurance providers to guarantee timely payment of claims.

• Re-submit claims that have not received a response.

• Answer phone calls and provide or gather information to resolve billing and collection concerns.

• Maintain essential billing documentation for future reference or auditing purposes.

• Perform billing-process tasks independently or collaboratively across various client accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue cycle management, encompassing at least two of the following areas: eligibility and benefits verification, integrity of demographic/registration data, resolution of billing and claim edits, accounts receivable follow-up, or denial management.

• Experience with physician claim billing is preferred.

• Familiarity with medical terminology.

• Understanding of the insurance industry.

• Proficient in grammar, spelling, and punctuation for composing correspondence.

• Competent in utilizing computer programs and applications.

• Must currently reside in the United States, as indicated in the application.

• Revenue Cycle experience will be assessed in the application.

• Healthcare revenue cycle certifications will be queried in the application.
