Revenue Cycle Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Process, review, and file insurance claims, ensuring resolution of payment issues.

• Assist patients by addressing billing inquiries and managing the collection of outstanding balances.

• Execute billing and collection tasks for insurance, including Medicaid/Medicare claims, in accordance with established guidelines.

• Gather and input patient insurance details into the ACS Compumed System.

• Review, verify, and submit insurance claims efficiently.

• Handle correspondence from third-party payers and respond to patient inquiries.

• Follow up with insurance providers to guarantee timely claim payments.

• Resubmit claims that have not received a response.

• Answer phone calls and provide or obtain necessary information to resolve billing and collection challenges.

• Maintain supporting billing documentation for future reference or auditing purposes.

• Independently or collaboratively complete billing processes across multiple client accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.

• Over 3 years of experience in the revenue cycle, covering at least two of the following areas: eligibility/benefits verification, demographic/registration data integrity, billing and claim edit resolution, accounts receivable follow-up, or denial management.

• Preferred experience in physician claim billing.

• Understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with the insurance industry.

• Proficient in grammar, spelling, and punctuation for correspondence typing.

• Competent in using various computer programs and applications.
