This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Reconcile and record all received payments.
• Identify discrepancies and analyze issues to ensure prompt posting of payments.
• Oversee inventory and system alignment between Cotiviti and its clients.
• Reconcile data across various sources.
• Record payments to collection accounts and reconcile posted bank transactions.
• Collaborate with the AP department to issue refunds as necessary.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements with the cash posting database.
• Post adjustment transactions to both collection and client systems.
• Execute cash application functions in line with corporate and client requirements.
• Access and interpret online systems to ascertain claim payment adjudication, accurately applying payments and adjustments.
• Aid in determining refund adjudication.
• Prepare and document financial transactions for assigned accounts.
• Maintain daily and monthly reporting for audit purposes.
• Reconcile daily deposits, review and rectify discrepancies, and balance cash.
• Communicate regarding bank deposits with both internal and external customers.
• Investigate and distribute payments that lack invoice numbers or service dates.
• Research and identify the correct claims for payments and apply them accurately.
• Stay informed about compliance and recovery laws that govern cash processing and recoupment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, or three (3) years of relevant Accounting/Finance experience required.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare claims is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and system databases is required.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Capacity to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
• Ability to ensure high-speed internet access/connectivity and maintain an office setup.
• Ability to remain stationary, frequently standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Capability to perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
