This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in daily revenue cycle operations, which encompass billing, accounts receivable, and cash applications.
• Accurately and promptly process payments from insurance and patients.
• Follow up on pending insurance claims and outstanding patient account balances.
• Identify and address issues related to claims, denials, and payment discrepancies.
• Maintain effective workflows for billing, collections, and cash applications.
• Input, review, and update account and payment details within practice management software.
• Detect system or workflow issues and communicate them to management.
• Ensure claims are submitted and payments posted in a timely manner.
• Assist in the upkeep and updating of payor fee schedules.
• Verify the accuracy of reimbursements and report any discrepancies.
• Adhere to claim submission and documentation protocols.
• Meet established productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
• Oversee assigned work queues and complete tasks in a timely fashion.
• Escalate unresolved issues or patterns to the Revenue Cycle Manager.
• Discuss account issues and workflow matters with team members and leadership.
• Engage in team meetings and training sessions.
• Contribute to process enhancements and adapt to changes in workflows.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• Basic understanding of healthcare billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and claim processes is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel along with general computer skills is required.
• Previous experience in healthcare revenue cycle, billing, or accounts receivable is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR/practice management systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of insurance payors and registration data requirements is preferred.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Professional communication skills and demeanor are required.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is necessary.
• Commitment to confidentiality and compliance standards is expected.
• Demonstrated professional integrity.
• Sedentary work that necessitates extended periods of sitting at a computer workstation.
• Regular use of hands and fingers for typing and operating standard office equipment.
