Revenue Cycle Manager, Lab Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee all facets of the laboratory revenue cycle, including billing and reimbursement operations.

• Manage the comprehensive end-to-end laboratory revenue cycle, which encompasses charge capture, claim submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up.

• Supervise and mentor a billing team of approximately 40 members.

• Ensure precise CPT (80000 series) and ICD-10 coding for all laboratory procedures, adhering to payer, Medicare, and Medicaid standards.

• Oversee claim edits, denials, appeals, and the optimization of reimbursements.

• Establish and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and billing workflows to enhance accuracy and compliance.

• Collaborate with laboratory operations, finance, and IT teams to address any billing or system-related issues.

• Prepare revenue cycle management (RCM) performance reports, identifying revenue leakage, denial trends, and opportunities for process improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.

• Over 3 years of experience in clinical laboratory billing, including proficiency in CPT and ICD-10 coding for lab services.

• Experience with AdvancedMD is preferred.

• A supervisory or management position in a medical billing department for a minimum of three (3) years is preferred.
